Questions asked about HalfStack Online.

The date changed?

When we first started planning HalfStack Online 2, we forgot that it might be possible for some to take a proper summer holiday. We received a lot of feedback from our friends in Europe that August isn't a great time for an online event. We then wanted to avoid some of the other amazing events already planned for September and early October, so we've switched the date to the 30th of October.

How do I attend?

Get your ticket and join us online. Details to attend will be shared shortly before the event.

The event is really long. Can I watch any sessions I miss?

The event will span many time zones so everyone in the world should be able to attend live for some portion of the event, and then watch what they miss after the fact. The expectation is that most people will not attend the full event live, but everyone can attend at least part of the event live.

Do I really need to buy a ticket? Can't I just watch the videos online later?

We’re getting a bit stir crazy with the covid-19 isolation. We thought it would be great to bring the creative side of the JS and web communities together to get recharged and inspired. Videos of the talks will be available for those who did not attend in real life 3 months after the event. Ticket prices are intentionally affordable ($19 or $29), but enough to provide a budget to compensate speakers for preparing their presentations, cover overhead for the event, and hopefully raise money for those in need.

I really want to attend, but even at $19 I cannot afford the ticket price. Can you help?

Yes, either send us an email or DM us via Twitter and we'll make it possible for you to attend.

Where did you get that amazing cover photo of the world?
